great access to parks and stunning city views

During my recent stay, I was really impressed by how easy it was to stroll over to Heartland of America Park, where I enjoyed beautiful views and relaxing walks, and I also found Kenefick Park, just over a kilometer away, to be a perfect spot for a peaceful escape from the hustle and bustle.

Not Ideal for Families

The hotel had a nice clean room and the oversized jacuzzi tub was a real treat. My kids loved the pool until they said the water tasted like salt since it was filled with chemicals.

It wasn’t exactly inexpensive, but it was tolerable.

Great stay with awesome staff!

I had an awesome time! The room was super comfy with a great view of the river. The staff was super friendly and made us feel welcome. The food at Bella's was top-notch, especially the huge biscuits! Just a little too smoky in the casino for my taste, though.

The spa suite king offered a fantastic jacuzzi tub and great lighting, enhancing the overall ambiance of the room. However, the check-in process was troublesome due to strict payment policies that didn’t accommodate business travelers, requiring personal cards instead of an office travel card. Additionally, the air conditioning struggled, leading to a humid atmosphere, and the thin walls made for a noisy night with my neighbor's TV running until the early morning.

We loved the cozy, dog-friendly vibe of the place. The casino was a blast with tons of games like blackjack and roulette. Plus, it was super easy for us to hit the casino and our room without much hassle. The buffet was a highlight too!

In my children’s opinion, the pool area could definitely use more kid-friendly activities.

The only downside was that the pool was closed for renovations during our stay, which was a bummer since we were looking forward to that.

My stay at Ameristar Casino Hotel was good! The diverse gaming options proved very entertaining, and the hotel amenities met my expectations. Although the late-night dining options felt limited, the atmosphere was vibrant. A lovely American getaway with unique experiences.

It’s a commendable fit for shopping in Council Bluffs with outstanding value. The place was clean except for a toenail on the carpet. Bring your own cleaning supplies just in case.

I was disappointed with my stay. The room was dusty, and the carpet felt dirty. Additionally, the toilet seat was loose and the mattress was incredibly uncomfortable. On the positive side, the hotel decor was appealing, but it was overshadowed by the general lack of cleanliness. I would not recommend this place for families with young kids due to safety concerns.

Relaxing Getaway with Friendly Staff

My boyfriend and I enjoyed a relaxing one-night stay. The casino atmosphere was fun, and the sports bar offered great food. Staff, especially Beverly and Kesrchelle, made our visit special—like spending time with friends! Pro tip, take the hotel shuttle for a fun outing.

I was blown away by the amazing oversized jacuzzi tub in my Spa Suite King! The water was hot and the pressure was perfect Plus, the cleanliness of the room and the comfortable king-size bed.
